Matt began his career in banking, where he developed a deep understanding of secured lending, credit risk assessment, and property finance. He later moved into corporate finance, rising to the role of partner and advising on complex financial transactions and structured lending facilities across the United Kingdom.

Throughout his career, Matt observed that property auction buyers were consistently underserved by mainstream lenders. The traditional mortgage process was too slow for auction deadlines, and many bridging loan providers lacked transparency in their fee structures. Buyers were often left scrambling to arrange finance, uncertain about costs, and at risk of losing their deposit if completion deadlines were missed.

Matt founded Auction Bridging Loans to address these challenges directly.
